[New York. May 17, 2007.] Chien-Ming Wang gave the Yanks exactly what they needed after losing the first game of this double-header. The Yanks offense then found its was late in the game, and they Yankees went on to beat the White Sox 8-1.

#3. Jorge Posada - Jorge pinch hit in this game and only had two at-bats. During one of those — Jorge hit a home run to keep his 11 game hitting streak alive.
#2. Hideki Matsui - Hideki rattled off three hits, one of which was a two-run double that Chicago’s center-fielder Erstad appeared to misjudge that gave the Yanks the lead that they never gave up.
#1. Chien-Ming Wang - Seven innings of one run ball. Wang was on his game and the Yanks took advantage. Although the final score was 8-1, this game was 2-1 going into the seventh.
